About the author

Bridget Cherry is an architectural historian who worked for many years as author and editor of the Pevsner Architectural Guides. She is a Vice President of Hornsey Historical Society, a founder member and former Conservation Officer. She has also been honorary secretary of the Friends of Hornsey Church Tower. Bridget has written many articles and several books for HHS. Her works for the Hornsey Historical Society include Ivy-Mantled Tower – A History of the Church and Churchyard of St Mary Hornsey, Middlesex and Hornsey Church Tower – A Brief History and Guide.
